No matter how you feel about abortion, there are a few things that won’t change. One is that women will have them. Another is that those women’s stories will supercede all other rhetoric that’s thrown at you about this issue.
Well, in a surprising turn Glamour magazine realizes both those things, and published the best article about the decision whether or not to have an abortion I’ve seen in possibly my lifetime. It’s well written and a good read, yes, but the best thing is really that it avoids any dogmatic stance and really just tells the truth — that when it comes down to it, we’re talking about individual women’s stories and women’s lives.
Maybe this is the future of the media? It sure makes me want to run out and buy all the issues of Glamour. Anyways, read the thing.
